Three Branches of Government
Executive Branch
Led by the Governor and Lieutenant Governor. Oversees all executive departments, enforces state law, and manages daily government operations.
Legislative Branch
The State Legislature consisting of the Senate and Assembly. Responsible for creating, amending, and repealing state laws and approving the state budget.
Judicial Branch
The State Court system, including the Supreme Court, Appeals Courts, and District Courts. Interprets state law and adjudicates civil and criminal matters.
